Tu Hieu Pagoda
The next day Jerry and Judy took an excursion to visit Tu Hieu Pagoda which is the root temple of Thich Nhat Hanh. It was a lovely cab ride a little ways out of town and the grounds were nestled in a pine forest covered in lush vegetation.
We arrived just before 10 am when the monks begin their walking and chanting meditation.
There was a side altar with offerings to the monks and nuns who have self-immolated in protest of political policies.
